The 6th Annual Campagnolo Lecture on Restorative Justice will be delivered by the Rt. Hon. Adrienne Clarkson and Dr. John Ralston Saul on Thursday, April 27, 2017 at the Sid Williams Theatre – 7 PM.
The Lecture is titled “A Duet on Justice: Adrienne Clarkson and John Ralston Saul in Dialogue and Conversation”. It will range over the connections between Mme. Clarkson’s work in her Massey Lectures “Belonging: The Paradox of Citizenship”, especially the chapter on Ubuntu, and Dr. Saul’s thoughts developed in “A Fair Country: Telling Truths about Canada” and “The Comeback”, referencing the inclusion and reconciliation of First Nations as being “the missing piece in building Canada”.
These issues have deep roots with Restorative Justice and the conversation between Mme. Clarkson and Dr. Saul and the audience is anticipated to be deeply stimulating and meaningful as we move forward on the journey of reconciliation.
Tickets for the Lecture are available through the Sid Williams Theatre Box Office (250.338.2430 ext 1) or online at: http://sidwilliamstheatre.com/tickets
Tickets are $35 for adults, $30 for Sid Williams members, $25 for Students.
