One of the questions we get asked often (meaning all the time) is:
What should I do for SEO?
The truth is that there is no simple, straightforward answer. Search Engine Optimization is comprised of a variety of elements and aspects that work together cumulatively; and require ongoing input and editing and evaluation.
The infographic below helps you get a better picture of some of these considerations.

Below follows some of Pod Creative’s favourite resources that offer an introduction to the world of SEO.
*NOTE: You can click on the main titles to visit the most relevant link for each resource directly. Also, we at Pod Creative use WordPress and the Divi Theme by Elegant Themes as our framework for developing websites, so the majority of the items in our list are directly related to this ecosystem.
1. Yoast SEO
WordPress out of the box is already technically quite a good platform for SEO, this was true when Joost wrote his original WordPress SEO article in 2008 (and updated every few months) and it’s still true today, but that doesn’t mean you can’t improve it further! This plugin is written from the ground up by Joost de Valk and his team at Yoast to improve your site’s SEO on all needed aspects. While this Yoast SEO plugin goes the extra mile to take care of all the technical optimization, it first and foremost helps you write better content. https://en-ca.wordpress.org/plugins/wordpress-seo/
2. Elegant Themes Blog: Tips & Tricks section
As mentioned above, we use the Divi Theme from Elegant Themes as a framework for our WordPress web development work. They have recognised the value of, and cultured, a wonderfully inclusive community that actively support each other online. No doubt inspired by ET themselves posting daily information related to helping you improve your online presence.

3. Pod Creative posts
We’re always trying to upgrade our grey matter (because some day it may matter) and occasionally post about our own SEO ideas, observations, and suggestions.
Below is a short list of SEO-related articles from our own blog *:
*This list will be added to as more posts directly related to SEO are published.
In Conclusion
Considering how much falls under the term Search Engine Optimization and the seemingly endless list of tasks that could be done towards improving it on your own website, we often suggest our clients and associates start with the very basics. After all, a strong foundation allows you to build on it with confidence.
